CONCORD- Mrs. Edith “Becky” Gassett, 90, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2018 at the Havenwood Health Center.
Born in Plainfield, NH, on January 23, 1927, Becky was the daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Craig) Burbank. She was married to the love of her life, Everett “Bud” Gassett in 1948. They began and ended their married life in Putney, VT.
In between, following Bud’s calling to the ministry, they served churches in Langdon, Alexandria, Dorchester, Hebron and Newmarket, NH and Keene Valley, NY.
Becky was an avid reader who loved knitting and downhill skiing. While residing at Havenwood-Heritage Heights, she sang with the Triple H singers and was a member of the Joyful Joeys troupe. Becky will be remembered by her family and friends for her beautiful smile, spirit and love for life.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Everett “Bud” Gassett, a brother, George, and sister, Doris.
She is survived by her daughters, Muffie Sheehan of Hebron and Tomi Phillips of Norman, OK. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Becky also leaves behind her very dear friend, Joseph Hyde of Heritage Heights.
