Sylvianne D. Martel

EPSOM- Sylvianne D. Martel, 94, of Epsom, formerly of Pembroke and Arizona, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Epsom Healthcare Center.

She was born on August 3, 1922 in Pembroke, daughter of the late Omer and Alice Roy.

Mrs. Martel was educated in the local schools and later graduated from Pembroke Academy. She was employed by the SAU #52 in Pembroke for over 25 years until her retirement. From 1985 until 2010, she resided in Arizona with her husband until his passing, when she moved back to NH.

Sylvianne enjoyed golf, sewing and knitting and was a former member of the St. Therese Rosebush Society at St. John the Baptist in Allenstown.

Besides her parents, Sylvianne was predeceased by her husband Roland L. Martel, her daughter, Jacqueline Labbe, her brother, Sylvio Roy and her daughter-in-law, Carol Martel.

She is survived by her son, Roland A. Martel of Allenstown; her grandchildren, Scott Martel and his wife Dawn, Matthew Martel and his wife Lisa, Christian Swanson and her husband Michael, Danielle Older and her husband Corey, John Paul Labbe, Michael Labbe; great grandchildren, Morgan, Elizabeth, Samuel, Alexander, Peter and Charlotte Martel, Hudson Older and Connor Swanson.

At her request, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 5th, 2017 at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Allenstown. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Carol Martel OAMH Scholarship Fund, c/o TD Bank, P. O.
