Zachary Saucier Obituary

LOS ANGELES, CA- On Friday, September 4, 2020, Zachary Normand Saucier went home to his Heavenly Father.

Born on May 25, 1992, Zach was the son of Shelly and her husband Paul Taschereau and the late Russell Saucier.  He grew up in New Hampshire but later relocated and found his heart belonged to California.

He spent his early days on the baseball field where he excelled as a player and teammate.  He was a hard worker and enjoyed several different areas of construction.  One could almost always find Zach at the gym or exploring nature, often hiking a mountain.

Zachary will be remembered for his kind and charming demeanor.  He had an enormous heart for his family, friends and often strangers.  He had a great love for animals and treated them all as his own.  Even at his lowest, he would be there to guide anyone through their difficulties.  He has often been described as “the light in the darkness.”

In addition to his parents, Zachary is survived by his siblings: Heather Saucier, Shaina Dennis, Gabrielle Saucier, Alexis Saucier, Danny Taschereau and Amanda Taschereau; his grandparents, Normand and Nadine Pelletier; his nieces, Saniya Fenderson, Kendall Davis, Elianna Brautovich (his goddaughter) and Ariella Sullivan; his nephews, Tavian Fenderson and Brayden Boisvert, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 20th at 11 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown.  A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the mass at the home of Shelly and Paul Taschereau.  In accordance with state and local guidelines, all attendees must wear face-coverings and adhere to social distancing as directed in church.  Burial will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Zach’s memory may be sent to Villa California Treatment Center, 5343 Shirley Avenue, Tarzana, CA 91356.  Assisting the family with arrangements is the Petit-Roan Funeral Home in Pembroke.  To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.petitroan.com
