William Calkins Obituary

 

CONCORD – William A. Calkins, 65, of Concord, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at his residence following a period of declining health.

Born on February 5, 1956 in Concord he was the son of Yvette T. (Ambadges) Calkins of Manchester and the late George L. Calkins, Jr.

William was a carpenter by trade, running his own business for over 25 years. He enjoyed being outside whether it was gardening, fishing or bowling. He had a love for cats and was known to have taken in a stray or two over the years. William had a good soul and he enjoyed helping others. He worked part time at the Capital Center of the Arts in his younger years and later at the Ramada Inn in Concord as well.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife Debra (Bailey) Calkins of Concord with whom he shared over 20 years of marriage, his siblings, Laura Calkins and her life partner, Robert Warpula, Jane LePlante and her husband Moe Trembley of Wolfeboro, Bruce Calkins and his wife Rita of Concord, Thomas Calkins of Concord and Amanda Calkins and her partner Greg Jackson of Manchester as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
