BARNSTEAD- Vickie Lynn (Friedrich) Runels, 65, of Barnstead passed away at home on November 5, 2020.
Born October 22, 1955 in Goffstown, NH, to parents Henry Jr. and Alma (Trow) Friedrich, Vickie lived in New Boston for 4 years and then moved with her family to Candia where she lived for the remainder of her childhood. Following her years attending Memorial High School in Manchester, she went to work for an insurance company doing data entry. As a single mother, she held a variety of different jobs, including electronics assembler and waitress before landing a job as payroll processor at ADP, where she worked for 20 years and was known for being good with numbers and skilled at spotting potential errors.
Vickie met her husband, William (Bill) Runels, in 2009. They had immediate chemistry and were married shortly thereafter. Vickie loved to work with her hands, crafting jewelry, doing macramé, sewing her own clothes. She enjoyed working with wood, working alongside her husband to construct a deck and a shed at the home they shared, as well as other home repairs and remodeling. She also enjoyed gardening and curling up with her cat. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Vickie kept herself busy designing and sewing cloth masks.
She is survived by her husband; her parents; her two children, Wanda Cyr and her husband Craig of Candia, NH, and Greg Meadows and his wife Shannon (Sheehy) of Brewer, ME; her siblings, Henry III, Marlena Keyser, Billie Pepper, and Thomas; two grandchildren, Alexander Cyr and Jackson Meadows; as well as several cousins, one niece and one nephew.
