PEMBROKE – Thomas E. Swanson,81, of Pembroke, passed away Tuesday, March 19,2024 with his family by his side at the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord. Tom was born in Manchester on November 28, 1942, son of the late Roland and Anna (McIntyre) Swanson.
A Jack-of all Trades, willing and happy to help others no matter the task or the time, Tom was known for his hard work ethic, his impeccable wood working skills and his ability to work with his many employees in a kind and thoughtful way. Throughout his life, he lived by the work hard-play hard motto, Snowmobiling, motor homing, getting his pilot’s license, sharing his love of airplanes and his fierce love of Dogs especially Bubba. And then there was his love for his family and of course Budweiser.
Tom worked for over 25 years in the Modular Home Industry in many capacities including as an owner of Epoch Homes in Pembroke.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Patricia Feeney and Robert Swanson and a nephew, Patrick Swanson
He is survived by his wife, Jane (Davis) of Pembroke, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage, his sons Jeffrey Swanson and his wife Deb of Epsom and David Swanson of Pembroke, grandchildren CJ Swanson of Epsom and Sam Swanson and partner Ashly Rycroft of Concord, nieces and nephews, Micheal Swanson, Joey Swanson, Jennie Smith and Timothy Laughlin.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 25th from 4 to 6pm at the Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main Street, Pembroke. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 26th at 10 AM in the Funeral Home Interment will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Pembroke.
