Stella Bergevin

ALLENSTOWN – Stella F. Bergevin, 86, of Allenstown, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 following injuries sustained in a car accident.

Born on December 4, 1934 in Barnstead, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Helen (Durkin) Carson.

Stella was educated in the local Pittsfield Schools, graduating from Pittsfield High School class of 1954, she was proud to host a class reunion on occasion at her home in Allenstown. She worked for many years with the New England Telephone Company, later becoming Verizon working in Payroll for over 30 years until her retirement. Stella was very proud of her home and took great pride in making sure it was well maintained, she enjoyed being outdoors and cleaning leaves. She could be found giving people rides or just being there to help them, playing mahjong with her friends and spending time with her family. Stella was a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne for many years, also serving as a lector at St. John the Baptist Parish.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald A. Bergevin, Sr. and a son, Donald Bergevin, Jr., her siblings, William Carson, Mary Todaro, Floyd J. Carson, Alfred Carson, Frank Carson as well as many brother and sister-in-laws.

She is survived by her children, Richard Bergevin and his wife Denise of Allenstown, Douglas Bergevin and his wife Katy of Alpharetta, GA and Brenda Macko and her husband Kenneth of Bolton, MA, brother-in-law, Lucien Bergevin, sister-in-law, Madeleine Clement, seven grandchildren, Richard Bergevin, Jr., Jena Livolsi, Amy Lee Marion, Shawna Veronica Foulger, Kelly Wasil, Bret Macko and Travis Macko, great great grandchildren, Roman, Maverick, Mason, Savannah, Halllie, Mack, James and one more on the way as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, September 26th from 5 to 7 P.M. in the Petit-Roan Funeral Home, 167 Main Street, Pembroke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 27th at 10AM at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Allenstown.
