Sharon Previe Obituary

EPSOM- Mrs. Sharon L. Previe, 76, of Epsom, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 7, 2021 after a long period of declining health.

Born in Penacook, Sharon was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Valerie D. (Minor) Previe.  She was raised and educated in Penacook and Manchester.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the housekeeping department of the Lakes Regional General Hospital.  She previously worked as a factory worker for Anchor Electric.

Sharon enjoyed going to the beach and was an avid Yankees fan.  She had total love for her family and helped raise her grandchildren and was there whenever she was needed.

Her daughter, Denise lovingly remembers her with the following words: “Our mother was not a rich woman. She never had a big house or fancy car. But she was rich in family and friendships.  If you were fortunate enough to be my mother’s friend your life was enriched. She was your fiercest ally, loyal and strong. Regardless of the little she had, she would give you the last dollar in her pocket or the shirt off her back.  When my husband and I bought our store in Gilmanton she moved up with my sister and became Grams to a whole town. When my sister became a single parent, she never hesitated to move in with her and help raise her grandchildren. The pure GLOW of pride when you watched Valeri become the first college graduate in our family was priceless! She watched her walk that stages not once, but twice. Val says to this day, I never could have done this without Mom by my side every step of the way.  Kevin and I became foster parents and she met every child at the door saying, “Hi, you can call me Grams.” Our last two children came to us as infants with various medical problems. She walked and rocked those babies for hours on end. She never batted an eye when we adopted four children and bragged about her 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She taught my sister and I to be strong independent woman who could achieve anything. While she had little worldly things, she gave us everything to be who we are today.  Today we will grieve our loss and celebrate her life.  Remember that every time you hear a windchime she is with you!”

She was predeceased by her two brothers: Douglas and George Previe.

Sharon is survived by her two devoted daughters: Denise Christiansen and her husband Kevin of Barnstead and Valeri Gauthier and her husband Kregg of Wakefield.  She was the sister to Walter Previe of Texas, Johnny Previe of Epsom and Raymond Previe of Hooksett.  She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
