Robert Gelinas, Sr.

PEMBROKE- Mr. Robert Gelinas, Sr., 92, of Pembroke, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 14, 2020 after a period of declining health.

Born in Hooksett, he was one of 18 children of the late William and Mary (Demers) Gelinas.  He had been a resident of Pembroke since 1953.  At that time, he started the family business, Gelinas Farm.

Bob worked as a cattle dealer and was a true steward of his land.  His passion was the farm and he loved cutting wood.  He cherished the time he spent with his siblings, especially their casino adventures and Thursday lunches.  He was a member of the Jewell Lodge #94 in Pembroke and the Bektash Temple in Concord.

Bob is survived by his children: Roberta M. Marsh and her husband David of Sorrento, FL, Elaine C. Duford and her husband Robert of Casselberry, FL, Joanne C. Gelinas Snow and her husband Arthur of Pembroke and Robert Gelinas, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Pembroke.  He was the grandfather to Lisa Duford, Robert Gelinas III and Ryan Gelinas and great grandfather to Gavin, Avree and Mason Gelinas.  He is also survived by two sisters, Noella Thibeault of Allenstown and Irene Kricorian of NY.
