Phyllis Parker Obituary

Phyllis J. Parker, 85, of Concord, formerly of Allenstown, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, November 11, 2021.

Born on June 2, 1936 in Springfield, VT, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Gertrude Ida (Allison) Johnson.

Phyllis was a lifelong homemaker who treasured time with her family and friends. She enjoyed many things in life including baking, crafting, quilt-making, puzzles, cards, and birdwatching. She was a passionate reader who always had a book by her side. She loved playing board games with friends and family, and was impossible to beat at a game of Rummikub; don’t forget to knock!

Her family expresses their sincere appreciation to the staff of Epsom HealthCare Center as well as the staff from the Concord Hospital Elder Care Program.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Gilbert Parker, Sr., her siblings, Charlie Johnson, Ruth Scofield and Leonard Johnson.

She is survived by her five children; Gilbert Parker, Jr. and his wife Judi, Joyce Morrissey and her husband Patrick, Alice Brokos and her partner John Mancini, Janice Bonenfant and her husband Bob, and Marsha Parker; a son-in-law, Phil Brokos; eleven grandchildren, Ed Parker and his wife Angelica, David Parker and his wife Katy, Katie, Beth and Kim Morrissey, Amanda Brokos, Adam Brokos and his wife Zoe, Alex Brokos, Shannon Parker, Nick Bonenfant and his partner Ben Miller, and Ali Bonenfant; nine great grandchildren, Nathan, Eva, Lucas, Amelia, Luna, Ari, Audrey, Layla and Izzy; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 12PM-2PM at the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway, Epsom, a brief service will follow. Interment at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
