GILMANTON- Mr. Louis W. Rouleau, age 81, of Gilmanton, passed away at the St. Francis Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Laconia on May 19, 2021 after a short period of declining health.
Born in Manchester, he was the son of the late Louise (Bessette) Kernan. He was raised and educated in Manchester and had been a resident of Gilmanton for the past 10 years. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.
Prior to his retirement, he was the owner and operator of SERVPRO in Manchester for over 30 years.
He and his wife Judy were active members of the Gilmanton Community Church and were instrumental in founding the Dump Run Café. An avid outdoorsman, Louis especially enjoyed hunting and fishing and held his private pilot’s license for many years. He loved to play his guitar as well as woodcarving.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Judith G. (Dawson) Rouleau in 2019.
Louis is survived by his children: Michael Rouleau and his wife Kym of Hopkinton, Gregg Rouleau and his wife Cecilia of Epsom and Mary DuBois and her husband Joseph of Gilmanton. He was the loving grandfather to Jarod, Carter, Zachary, Elizabeth, Brett, Olivia, Joey and Emily. He was the brother to Kenneth Rouleau of Florida. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of His Life will be held on Friday, May 28th at 11 A.M. in the Gilmanton Community Church, 497 Province Rd. in Gilmanton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
