PITTSFIELD- Mr. John I. DeFlorio, 77, of Pittsfield, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 9, 2021.
Born in Cambridge, MA, John was the son of the late Robert DeFlorio. He was raised and educated in Billerica, MA and had been a resident of New Hampshire for over 50 years.
For many years, John was employed as a construction supervisor and operated his own construction business for a time. He later worked as a tractor-trailer driver for many local companies. Most recently, he had been employed by the John Whitaker Place in Penacook.
John was a longtime member of the NRA. He enjoyed building birdhouses and was an especially talented gardener.
He is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Marcia G. (Mahoney) DeFlorio of Pittsfield; his sons, Ron DeFlorio of Belmont, John DeFlorio of Boscawen and Anthony “Tony” DeFlorio of Loudon. He was the grandfather to Tammy Lynn Hibbard, Stephen DeFlorio, Matthew Gullige, Jesse DeFlorio, Shawn DeFlorio and Aaron DeFlorio. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, November 16th from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. in the Petit-Roan Funeral Home 167 Main St. in Pembroke.
