Jean M. Preston

PEMBROKE – Jean M. Preston, 87, of Pembroke, passed away at her residence on Thursday, May 27, 2021 surrounded by family.

Born on August 18, 1933 in Concord, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Helen (Hall) Dachowski.

Jean was a homemaker for many years, being able to enjoy watching her children and grandchildren grow, she loved to go Antiquing and taking walks with her grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roger E. Preston, daughter, Robin Fauteux and siblings, John Dachowski, Carol Bell, Mary White, Pauline Gracyalny and George Dachowski.

She is survived by her children, Deborah A. Bemis of Pembroke, Larry Preston of Pembroke and Mark Preston of Bethlehem, siblings, Robert Dashowski and Marjorie Leitweiller, grandchildren, Melissa J. Burke, Sean W. Bemis, Marc G. Bemis, Nicole S. Murata and Adam J. Fauteux, four great grandchildren, Rigby L. Buckner, Noah D. Buckner, Cora B. Bemis and Elijah G. Bemis as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jean’s family wishes to thank the staff of Granite VNA Hospice for their amazing support and comfort during such a difficult time.

A Celebration of Jean’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 5th from 2PM-4PM at the Petit-Roan Funeral Home, 167 Main St, Pembroke. All guests must wear face-coverings and are encouraged to follow CDC & DHHS Guidelines regarding COVID safety.
