EPSOM- Mr. Frank L. Swett, Jr., 78, of Epsom, passed away at Concord Hospital on September 26, 2020 after a period of declining health.
Born and raised in Newton, MA, Frank was the son of the late Frank L. Swett, Sr. and E. Jean (Brown) Swett. An honorably discharged Veteran, Frank proudly served during the Vietnam War era as a POL Specialist at Cape Cod Air Force Station fueling Air Force One. He later moved to Warner and became a Police Officer for the City of Concord. He spent his later years in Concord and Pittsfield. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machinist for General Electric in Hooksett for 19 years.
Frank had a passion for firearms and was a former NRA Instructor and Hunter Safety Instructor. He enjoyed shooting with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and especially woodworking. He was well known for his wooden crosses and could make just about anything.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Vivian Ruby (Miller) Swett; his five children: Anissa Anderson and her husband David of Summersville, KY, Frank L. Swett, III and his wife Tammy of Concord, Susannah Gingras and her husband Daniel of Allenstown, Daniel Swett, Sr. and his wife Nancy of Chichester and Katherine Burr and her husband Ryan of Campbellsville, KY. He was the brother to Janet Conklin of Sayre, PA, Joanne Lumley of Elmira, NY and Jean Swett of Sayre, PA. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
