Doris G. Gerlack

PITTSFIELD- Mrs. Doris G. (Joy) Gerlack, 77, of Pittsfield, passed away at home surrounded by the peace and love of her family on January 19, 2022.

Born in Pittsfield, Doris was the daughter of the late Calvin C. and Gladys E. (Fifield) Joy.  She was a lifelong resident of Pittsfield.

Doris greatly enjoyed yard-saling and going for rides, especially trips to consignment shops.  She also enjoyed sitting back and watching “General Hospital.”  Above all else, her life revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband, Clarence Gerlack, Sr.; her brother, Walter Joy and her sisters, Grace Locke, Helen Davis Naomi (Beana) Hodgdon and Lorraine Joy.

She is survived by her three children: Clarence Gerlack, Jr. of Pittsfield, Penny Gerlack-Hatch and her husband Jeff of Pittsfield and Scott Gerlack and his wife Becky of Gilmanton.  She was the loving grandmother to Trisha, Trevor, Greg and Devin.  She is also survived by seven great grandchildren as well as her brother and sister, Kevin Joy and Beverly Price both of Pittsfield and many nieces and nephews.
