DEERFIELD- Mrs. Donna L. (Yeaton) DeCota, 89, passed away unexpectedly at home, surrounded by her loving family on May 6, 2021.
Born in Woodstock, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Nellie (Magoon) Yeaton.
Donna resided in Deerfield with her beloved husband, Roy (Joe) DeCota for 42 years before moving to Florida in 1992, where they lived for twenty years until the passing of her husband. She then moved back to Deerfield in 2013 to be closer to her family. Donna was a member of the Deerfield American Legion Auxiliary. She worked for the NH Lottery and earned her Associates Degree in Management and Accounting. In Florida, she was involved with the Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, the Social Club, and the Travel Club and was a member of the First Baptist Church/Concordia Chorus. She was also a member of the Deerfield Bible Church.
Donna loved to spend time knitting, crocheting and quilting as well as spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Joe, Donna was predeceased by her son, Roy H. DeCota.
Donna is survived by her children, Jerry DeCota and his wife Diana, Debra DeCota and her husband Russell Burtt and Laurie DeCota all of Deerfield as well as her daughter in law, Evelyn DeCota, her grandchildren, Jason DeCota, Emily Burtt, and James DeCota and eight great grandchildren, her siblings; Helen White and her husband Robert, Joyce Yeaton and Pat Dail all of Epsom, as well as many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on June 23, 2021 at the Deerfield Bible Church. Visitation will be held starting at 11 A.M. followed by a Funeral Service at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Deerfield Bible Church, 9 Church St. Deerfield, NH 03037. The Petit-Roan Funeral Home in Pembroke is assisting the family with arrangements.
