Barbara H. Demers

PEMBROKE – Barbara H. Demers, 89, of Pembroke, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at her residence with her family by her side.

Born on January 17, 1932 in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Hermeline (Langlois) Caswell.

Barbara was educated in the local schools and a graduate of Pembroke Academy. She went on to work for the Sate of New Hampshire in Vocational Technical Education as a secretary until her retirement. Barbara was a truly family matriarch, she enjoyed time with her family, going out to eat and traveling to tropical places with her daughter. She loved casinos and scratch tickets, a love she also shared with the rest of her family.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald in 2013.

She is survived by her children, David Demers and his wife Cyndi of Sanford, ME, Daniel Demers and his wife Sharlene of Pembroke and Denise Lavoie of Pembroke, grandchildren, Alison Rand, Ryan Demers, Nicholas Lavoie and his wife Sarah, Andrew Lavoie, Jeremy Hoffman, Nick Emerson and Troy Demers, great grandchildren, Grace Lavoie, Walter Lavoie, Miles Lavoie, Sophie Lavoie, Haley Rand and Max Rand.

A walk thru visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 16th from 10:00am-11:00am at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following at 11:00am In accordance with state and local guidelines, all attendees must wear face-coverings and adhere to social distancing as directed. Interment prayers will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery Chapel, Allenstown.
