Aurea Laliberte Obituary

CONCORD – Aurea Y. Laliberte, 100, of Concord, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Presidential Oaks in Concord.

Born on March 24, 1920 in Pembroke, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Azilda (LeVasseur) Montminy.

Aurea was educated in the local schools and went on to work for Sprague Electric as a stamper for over 25 years. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, where she belonged to the Ladies of Ste. Anne as well as the St. Therese Rosebush Society. She cherished being a longtime member of the Buck St. Fidelity Club, enjoying the memories the building brought back when she was there. In her younger years, she enjoyed 10 pin bowling, completing puzzles and playing board games.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Armand Laliberte in 1994 and her siblings, Cecile Philibotte, Dorothy Meyer and Nathalie Schroth.

She is survived by her children, Paul Laliberte and his wife Carol of Concord, Edward Laliberte and his partner, Jim Hope of York Beach, ME, Gerard Laliberte  and his wife Pauline of Pembroke and David Laliberte and his wife Gloria of Ocala, FL; her sister, Elaine Montminy of Concord; eight grandchildren, Scott Laliberte and his wife Suzanne, Shane Laliberte and his wife Crystal, Steve Laliberte and his wife Lindsey, Jeffrey Laliberte and his significant other, Jacqui Spacek and her son Ethan McClain, Nicole Lepie and her husband David, Joshua Laliberte and his wife Kelli, Kim Legassey and Chris Laliberte; twelve great grandchildren, Paige, Samantha, Ryan, Benny, Noah, Margo, Max, Camryn, Cora, Kayla, Zander and Devin.

Aurea’s family wishes to thank the staff at Presidential Oaks not only for their care and love to Aurea but for working so hard to keep their residence safe during these uncertain times.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 10th at 10AM at St. John the Baptist Church, Allenstown. All attendees are asked to wear face-coverings and observe social distancing as directed. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Allenstown.
