Ronald Albert, Sr. Obituary

EPSOM- Mr. Ronald D. Albert, Sr., 72, of Epsom, passed away unexpectedly at home on April 27, 2018.

Born in Lewiston, Maine, Ron was the son of the late Edgar and Viola (Desmarais) Albert.  He was raised and educated in Lowell, MA before entering the United States Marine Corps and proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War.  He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant in 1967.

He previously resided in Manchester before moving to Epsom 10 years ago.  Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an HVAC Technician for Irving Oil, formerly Belmore.  He also worked as a DJ for many years.  Ron had a lifelong love of music which he displayed during his time as a bandmember with Misty Haze Review, where he served as Lead Guitarist and Vocalist.

Ron enjoyed doing various types of volunteer work.  He also enjoyed playing his guitar, playing chess, horseshoes, and pool.  Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 ½ years, Dorothy “Dottie” (Lippe) Albert.  He is also survived by his two sons: Scott L. Albert of Epsom and Ronald D. Albert, Jr. of Florida; his sister, Constance Stevens of Chelmsford, MA; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A Committal Service will be held on Tuesday, May 8th at 1 P.M. in the Chapel of the New Hampshire States Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be sent to Building Dreams for Marines, PO Box 1704 Nashua, NH 03061 or Friends of Veterans 222 Holiday Drive, Suite 20, White River Junction, VT 05001.  Assisting the family with arrangements is the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home in Epsom.  To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.stilloaks.com
