CONCORD- Mr. Richard R. “Dick” Simonds, 70, of Concord, passed away on March 10, 2019 at the Manchester VA Medical Center after a period of declining health.
Born in Nashua, Dick was the son of the late Herbert and Eva Simonds. He was raised and educated in Nashua. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.
Prior to his retirement, Dick was employed as an auto mechanic for over 52 years for After Hours Technician. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and telling jokes.
He is survived by his companion and soulmate of 17 years, Elaine Szepan of Concord, his son, Todd Simonds and his wife Pamela of Nashua, his sister, Barbara York and her husband William of Donna, TX, 2 grandchildren, Allie and Kaylee, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 28th at 10 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. Burial will take place at a later date in Loudon Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dick's memory may be sent to the charity of one's choice. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Petit-Roan Funeral Home in Pembroke.
