Richard E. Reycroft

PEMBROKE- Richard E. Reycroft, 82, of Pembroke, passed away peacefully in the care of the CRVNA Hospice House on October 25, 2018.

Born in Boston, MA on October 13, 1936, Richard was the son of the late George M. and Dorothy (Shepard) Reycroft.  Dick received his Bachelor of Science degree from Dartmouth College in 1958, where he was a member of Phi Tau Fraternity.

A State of New Hampshire employee for more than 26 years, Dick retired from his position of budget supervisor in 1996.  Upon retirement, he enjoyed many years of travel with his wife, Nancy.

Richard’s life-long interests included his extensive garden, wood carving, genealogy research and reading.  His quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by all.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Nancy M. (Nordlie) Reycroft; his three children: Peter N. Reycroft and his wife Sandra of Ft. Myers, FL, Elizabeth Montanari and her partner Joseph Hough of Bethlehem, PA and Timothy G. Reycroft and his wife Chevan of Pembroke.  He was Grandpa to Allyson J. Reycroft, Gage P. Reycroft, Jonah Reycroft, Devaun Gil and Dessiah Williams.  He also leaves one great grandson, Julian Gil.

In accordance with his wishes, a private gathering will be arranged at a later date. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Dick’s memory may be sent to CRVNA Hospice House 30 Pillsbury St. Concord, NH 03301 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 166 S.
