EPSOM – Maurice C. Philbrick, 85 of Epsom, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Hospice House in Concord.
Born on September 1, 1933 in Concord, he was the son of the late Ellsworth B. and Doris A. (Bachelder) Philbrick
Maurice was educated in the local schools and later earned his Associates degree in Forestry from UNH. In 1952 Maurice enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Elwood O. Wells Post 112 in Epsom. He was employed for over 22 years with the State of New Hampshire as a Radiological Technician for Civil Defense until his retirement. Maurice enjoyed collecting antiques, attending gas and steam engine shows and hunting in his younger years.
He is survived by his wife Martha L. (Brousseau) Philbrick of Epsom with whom he shared 42 years with, sons, Robert C. Philbrick of Sunapee and David C. Philbrick and his wife Carin of Epsom, granddaughter, Emily Philbrick and a cousin Mary Frambach and her husband Richard of Epsom.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1:00pm at McClary Cemetery in Epsom. The Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home in Epsom is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Epsom Fire Association, 1714 Dover Road, Epsom, NH 03234.
