Lucille A. (Blais) Edmonds

February 26, 1925 ~ October 11, 2017 (age 92) 92 Years Old


PEMBROKE – Mrs. Lucille A. (Blais) Edmonds, 92, of Pembroke, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness.

Born in Allenstown, she was the daughter of the late Aime and Olympe (Arbour) Blais.  She was raised and educated in the Pembroke/Allenstown area and was a graduate of Pembroke Academy.  She resided here her entire life.

In earlier years, Lucille was employed as a secretary for the Suncook Mills and later the New Hampshire State Police.  She also served as a Den Mother for several years.

She was a past president of the Pembroke Women’s Club and was affiliated with the National Federation of the Women’s Club.  She enjoyed vacationing near the water, tennis, golf and skiing.

She was predeceased by her three siblings, Paul, Oscar and Anita Blais.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, William F. Edmonds; her son, Brent Edmonds; three grandchildren, Kate, Daniel and Megan Edmonds; her “daughter-in-law,” Helen Champa, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of both the Harris Hill Nursing Home and the CRVNA Hospice Program for their compassionate care of Lucille.

It being her request, there will be no services at this time and burial will take place at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the CRVNA Hospice Program, 30 Pillsbury St. Concord, NH 03301.  Assisting the family with arrangements is the Petit-Roan Funeral Home in Pembroke.  To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.petitroan.com
