Janet Shichkin

ALLENSTOWN – Janet Brissette Shichkin, 80, a lifelong Suncook resident, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 surrounded by her family.

She was born on June 5, 1937 in Holyoke, MA, daughter of the late Wilfred and Simone (Fay) Brissette.

Janet was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown where she taught CCD for over 40 years. She had a faith so strong, and Jesus ran through ever part of her life. She will now remain with Jesus in everlasting life. She worked full time as a substitute teacher for Allenstown Elementary School until her retirement. Mrs. Shichkin was a member of Meet Me in Suncook; she loved playing bingo on Thursday nights and meeting her friends at the mall.

Besides her parents, Janet was predeceased by her brother, Francis Brissette in 2013 and her husband Basilio Shichkin in 2013. Janet and Basilio will now continue their journey together.

She is survived by her children, Fay Luster of Pembroke, Glen Hebert and his wife Terri of Warwick, RI and Joanna Willis and her husband Craig of Allenstown; her grandchildren, Heather Luster of Allenstown, Zachary Shichkin of Allenstown and her great grandson Connor Luster of Allenstown; her siblings, Mariette Brissette of Allenstown, Lucille Sarette and her husband Robert of Goffstown and Louis Brissette and his wife Patricia of Bow, as well as many nieces and nephews. “Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that’s the way I’ll remember you all, If you can only remember me with tears then don’t remember me at all” – Julia Sanderson, Little House on the Prairie.

Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, October 25th 2017 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Petit-Roan Funeral Home, 167 Main Street in Pembroke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 26th at 11 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown.
