CENTER BARNSTEAD- Amelia J. Rogers, 26, of Center Barnstead, passed away suddenly on July 5, 2019 from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Born in Dover, NH, Amelia was the beloved daughter of Glenn and Paula (Layman) Rogers of Center Barnstead.  She resided in Center Barnstead for most of her life.  In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sisters: Sarah E (Rogers) Currid, Alicia C Rogers and Ivna Fontenele, her grandparents; Russell Rogers of Dover, NH and Patricia (Davis) Baxter of Rochester, NH. 

She has many aunts, uncles & cousins, two nephews and a niece.

She is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Jenine Holmes of South Berwick, ME and Carl Layman of Carterville, IL. 

Amelia attended Barnstead Elementary School from kindergarten through eighth grade, attended Prospect Mountain High School her Freshman & Sophomore year then went on to graduate from Spaulding High School.  She also followed in her older sisters footsteps and attended West Virginia Wesleyan College studying nursing.  Amelia lived in San Francisco, CA for a time before coming back to NH. 

Amelia enjoyed the outdoors immensely and loved travel.  She loved dancing, volleyball, softball, fishing, and hunting.  Amelia was vivacious & had an energy for life, that everyone loved being around.

At this time, Memorial Services will be held at the Congregational Church of North Barnstead, 504 North Barnstead Rd Ctr. Barnstead NH on July 27th starting at 10:00 AM. A luncheon will follow at the American Legion Post #72, 164 Wolfeboro Hwy. (Rt. 28) Alton NH 03809.  For anyone wishing to help out with the luncheon by bringing food or assisting with the gathering, please contact Mary Murphy at 603-340-0723.
