Louis E. Rowell, Sr.

NORTHFIELD- Mr. Louis E. Rowell, Sr. 86, of Northfield, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 17, 2018.

Born in Nashua, Louis was the son of the late Edward L. and Winnebell Rowell.  He was raised and educated in Nashua and Hudson.

Prior to his retirement, Louis was employed as a truck driver for the United States Postal Service, a position he held for over 37 years.  He enjoyed working around his home, watching soap operas and sharing snacks with his granddaughter.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Milton and Earl Rowell.

He is survived by his children: Ricky Rowell and his wife Lorraine of Belmont, Ronald Rowell of Loudon, Louis Rowell, Jr. of North Carolina, Bruce Rowell of Loudon, Wayne Rowell and his wife Fay of Northfield and Roxanne Lavallee of Center Barnstead; his sister, Lucille Rowell Corkum, and his former wife, Esther (Mitchell) Rowell. He is also survived by his countless grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, April 25th at 1 P.M. in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.  In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours.  Assisting the family with arrangements is the Petit-Roan Funeral Home in Pembroke.  To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.petitroan.com
