Huguette U. (Tremblay) Sorensen

EPSOM- Mrs. Huguette U. (Tremblay) Sorensen, 70, of Epsom, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 in Concord Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alma (Belanger) Tremblay.  She came to New Hampshire at a young age and was raised and educated in Colebrook.  She later obtained her Master’s Degree in Computer Science.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the State of NH for over 30 years with her last position being a supervisor for the Nashua Child Support Division.  An avid gardener, Huguette enjoyed tending to her flowers and vegetables and loved animals, especially her three dogs and two cats.  She will also be remembered as a fantastic painter.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John A. Sorensen of Epsom; her children, Jeanne Mills of Webster, Julie Beals of Warner, John Phillips of Sarasota, FL, Debra Sorensen Larkin of Southampton, MA, Mary Sorensen of Pittsfield, MA and Patrice Tremblay of Pittsfield, MA. She is also survived by her siblings; Mark Tremblay of Wall, NJ and Lucille Joerger of San Clement, CA; her 10 grandchildren; and, 4 great-grandchildren.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 20th at 12 Noon in the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom.  Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Allenstown.  Calling Hours will be held prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Feed the Children, PO Box 36 Oklahoma City, OK 73101-0036.  To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.stilloaks.com
