Welcome to the memorial page for

Farrell R. "Bob" Hahn

March 27, 1943 ~ December 4, 2017 (age 74) 74 Years Old

EPSOM- Farrell Robert "Bob" Hahn, 74, of Epsom passed away peacefully in the care of Epsom Healthcare on Monday, December 4, 2017.

Bob was born in Hartford, CT on March 27, 1943 and was the son of William R. and Emma (Kugat) Hahn. He grew up in Rockville, CT where he attended high school and completed correspondence courses in business.

Bob's professional career began working in First National supermarkets as a teen and as a salesman for American Chicle in the late 60's. In 1971, he and his family moved to Epsom, bought Gossville General Store and operated it passionately until 1979. In 1980, Bob worked as a salesman for Texas Refinery Corporation briefly before starting a 36 year career with Share Corporation as Northeast Regional Sales Manager, a job that he loved, and excelled at due to his true gift of gab.

Bob was also known for being active in his community. In earlier years, Bob was a Boy Scout and Explorer, as well as being a past Governor of the Loyal Order of Moose, Rockville chapter. Once in Epsom, Bob was a member of the Epsom Volunteer Fire Department, assisted with Epsom Old Home Day, was a 32nd degree Master Mason with the Corinthian Lodge of Pittsfield, CubMaster of Cub Scout Pack 80 of Epsom, and a member of the Bektash Temple of Shriners. In recent years, Bob enjoyed soliciting area classic and antique car owners as well as exhibiting his own 1970 "Plum Crazy" Plymouth Duster in Epsom Old Home Day parades.

Bob was best known for his deep love of family, his quick wit, his generous nature and skill in building lasting relationships; both personal and professional.

Bob's proudest achievement was raising his two sons. They, along with his three grandchildren were his greatest passion. When you started up a conversation about his grandchildren, you'd sit back and behold Bob's magical glow and sparkle in his eyes.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by a brother, William R. Hahn, Jr. of Tolland, CT.

He is survived by his two sons, Scott Hahn and wife Vicki of Epsom, and Corey Hahn of Easley, SC; 3 very special grandchildren, Emma, Molly and Andrew Hahn; a sister Sandra Ferguson and husband Ronald of Nelson, NH; a brother, Craig Hahn and his wife Lisa of Farmington, CT; his ex-wife, Linda Wright of Northwood; as well as very dear nephews, nieces, great nephews and close personal friends.

A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held Sunday, December 10th at the Epsom Fire Station from 2 to 4 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Epsom Food Pantry, 1598 Dover Rd.
