Ernest C. LaPlante

Ernest C. LaPlante, 77, of Concord, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 in the care of the Hospice House in Concord.

Born on March 28, 1940 in Franklin, he was the son of the late Edward and Marie Anne (Pelletier) Alcide.

Upon completion of High School, Ernest went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. LaPlante was a skilled Finish Carpenter, which was a trade he always enjoyed. Before settling into Concord he previously lived in Maryville, TN and Coeur d’ Alene, ID. He enjoyed time he got to spend outdoors doing things he loved including, hunting, fishing, gardening and camping.

Besides his parents, Ernest was predeceased by a brother, Edmond D. LaPlante as well as a sister, Rita C. Quinn.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Julia (Barrett) LaPlante of Concord, his son, E. Charles LaPlante and his wife Usawadee of Littleton, his stepchildren, Theresa Marie Raymond and her husband William of Bristol, Cathy Lynn Burrows and her husband John of Bristol, VA and David John Sartorelli and his wife Heather of Chattanooga, TN, his siblings, Regina Bouvier and her husband David of Summerfield, FL and Gloria Zagopoulos and her husband Stephen of Goffstown, NH, seven grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Ernest’s request services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory may be made to CRVNA Hospice House, 240 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301.
