Brenda J. (Rainaud) Smith

CENTER BARNSTEAD- Mrs. Brenda J. (Rainaud) Smith, 77, of Center Barnstead, passed away at the Concord Hospital on March 16, 2018 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Rochester, Brenda was the daughter of the late Warren C. and Evelyn M. (Garland) Rainaud.  She was raised and educated in Rochester and had been a resident of Barnstead for the past 39 years.

She was previously employed by Sprague Electric and Page Belting Co.  Affectionately known in her family as “Bargain Brenda,” she enjoyed shopping, bingo, traveling, watching “Wheel of Fortune,” reading, and above all, spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Smith; two daughters, Justine Trainer and Candee Frost; and her siblings, William, Robert, Burton, Bruce and Barry Rainaud and Barbara Bilger.

She is survived by her daughter, Joy Couch of Epsom; her son, Jeffrey Stinson of Center Barnstead; five grandchildren, Jennifer Trainer, Zachary Whittier, Brittany Frost, Richard Frost, Jr., and Jacob Couch; six great grandchildren, Aaliyah, Aaidan, Carlee, Jenna, Eric and Wyatt; siblings: Betty Edmands of Rochester and Brian Rainaud of West Lebanon, ME; as well as many nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Walter.

Calling Hours and Reception will be held on Saturday, March 24th from 2 to 4 P.M. in the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom.  Spring burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
