We are honored to continue the legacy started by the Petit family

84 years ago, assisting our family, friends and neighbors

in their time of need.  At a time when many funeral establishments are being acquired by large, multinational conglomerates and some funeral directors are finding themselves forced into consolidating their businesses with one another, we continue to take great pride in remaining independently family owned, operated and occupied.  We are accountable to you—our families, not to Wall Street or a CEO.  There are times when a huge corporation or society may be the right choice.  Dealing with the loss of a loved one is not one of those times.

Turn to a local family you can trust.

Warmest Regards,

Katherine and Matthew Roan

From the minute we drove up and saw the beautiful grove of autumn trees surrounding Still Oaks in Epsom we knew it was the right place for us. Our hearts were broken and heavy with the unexpected death of our beloved boy, Ethan Michael, but Katie and Matt immediately assured us that their job was to make this time as meaningful as possible and that whatever we felt comfortable with they would help make happen. They both went above and beyond and we will never be able to fully express our gratitude. Our aching hearts were eased by their kindness, honesty and professionalism. When we talk about Ethan's calling hours and burial, one of us inevitably says, ' Thank goodness for Katie and Matt.'

From the very grateful family of Ethan Michael Fargo

You talk about everything. You share the big events and small victories. But there’s one conversation you probably haven’t had: it’s time to have the talk about how you want to be remembered. It can make the difference of a lifetime.

Sharing stories with those who matter most isn’t just important today; it will be especially significant when it’s time to commemorate a life. Have the Talk of a Lifetime encourages families to have conversations about life and what matters most. These discussions can help families make important decisions about how they wish to remember and honor the lives of their loved ones.

Through meaningful memorialization — that is, taking time to reflect on the unique life of a loved one and remember the difference they made — families and friends take an important step in the journey toward healing after death. Today, individuals and their families have more options for memorializing their loved one at the end of life.

Memorialization is so much more than it used to be. It can reflect a person’s life story, their values, interests, and experiences. It is transformative, healing, and comforting. Meaningful memorialization planning starts when loved ones talk about what matters most: memories made, lessons learned, and how they hope to be remembered.
